I love the culture, beautiful homes, school spirit (High School and HBCUs), job opportunities, Black support and friendliness of the people. Do you know where I may feel comfortable settling in Florida? Trust me, you dont want to move to Philadelphia. People are not really friendly. If you plan to come here, it would be best if you have a job waiting for you. Its a great place but not for black people. The best books about Black motherhood include "Becoming" by Michelle Obama, "Mom & Me & Mom" by Maya Angelou, "Red at the Bone" by Jacqueline Woodson and more. I live in Atlanta and I love it here.
